Start of Summer.

This weekend I had the pleasure of joining in on a true Garden Party hosted for all the ladies in our church. It was such a lovely event that marked the end of the year for the women's events, as well as the start of Summer. And as a part of the graphic design work I do, I have the honour of designing signage, cards and advertising for such special events and work alongside some incredibly creative people - watch this space, our awesome events coordinator will be starting up a blog very soon, you will be swooning over the events she's put together!! And just look how it all came together!

Love!

The Summer of Garden Parties.

If you are living in the Southern Hemisphere, you would be sharing in my excitement for Summer that is fast approaching! Which means time to celebrate, get outside and soak up the sun! Came across this splendid idea for a garden party via Desiree Spinner Events, doesn't it just look so stunning? Absolutely love the bright splashes of colour that is used throughout the decor and refreshments. Hmmm...I think I definitely need to plan for a big backyard in my future home, to make little garden parties like these possible :) Time to start planning!

Tabitha Emma.

What can you say but cute, cute, CUTE! Tabitha Emma, as we all know, is one talented lady! From illustrator, to designer, to now party styler too! She posted these pictures from a gorgeous 1st birthday party she designed the invites for, illustrated and helped style for these gorgeous twin girls. Talented, wouldn't you say? :)

Designer Deer Heads.

A couple of weeks ago I was introduced to this amazing Australian online store, Rawspace, when a friend of mine purchased one of these amazing designer deer heads for her bedroom. Wow! I love how the some-what over saturated deer image, has been totally transformed into a whole new design concept, by using a range of patterns and colours to create a very abstract version. How gorgeous, one of these definitely belong in my house :)

Beauty in the detail.

Oh how darling! Today in the office, myself and other like minded creatives were drooling over this wonderful work by Ashley Meaders that we found via Polli. I admire the time and effort that goes into  little parties like this and just adore the handmade labels for the syrups and pancakes. There's such beauty in the detail! Pretty keen to host  a breakfast like this!

The Christmas List.

(Pepper Sprouts)

Had the best night EVER! Seriously, I love Christmas! Amanda and I, along with the husbands had a Christmas night out, filled with yummy dinner, Christmas drinks, walks and talks along the neighborehood covered in amazing Christmas lights and decorations. One thing that came up in our crazy conversations, was the list. The list is made of things you would have to tick off to officially finish off Christmas. We came to the conclusion that ours would have to be:

- Bake gingerbread cookies
- Make decorations and decorate the Christmas tree
- Make a Christmas CD
- Watch Christmas movies
- Buy seasonal drinks (Toffee Nut latte from Starbucks)
- Take a walk down Harrowfield, which is a street renowned for having the most amazing Christmas lights.
- Buy all our pressies
- Wrap all our pressies
- Sings Christmas songs (or in Amanda's case, whisper them)
- Do the river float (on Christmas eve at 11.30pm float down the river in anything floatable with a group of friends)
- Feast, feast and feast!

Done most of them, just still need to wrap the pressies, float down the river (buying our little paddling pool tomorrow as our floating device!) and FEAST!

Does anyone else have anything to add to the list of things to do before Christmas?

I. LOVE. CHRISTMAS!

Handmade Joy.

Oh it's always such a joy to come across sweet little handmade items like Pilli Pilli handmade. Her Christmas embroidery hoops are just absolutely gorgeous. Just makes me all the more excited about Christmas (and I say that whilst listening to Mariah Carey's Christmas album!) and all the joy it brings :)
