Neil and I splurged out a bit last week and ended up buying a new DSLR camera just in time to capture Christmas, the Summer holidays and our adventures here in Melbourne. I am very new to this, so if you have any advise / tips on using a DSLR or handy websites to go visit, please flick them my way! Staying away from using the automatic setting is my main goal - it's so much more rewarding learning the technical skills behind taking photos. Hopefully this weekend we will be able to capture some spectacular Christmas lights and sights across the city, fingers crossed!
How nice! I'd love to buy a DSLR some time, but I'll have to save for months..!
ReplyDeleteDSLR cameras are so much fun although I must admit I don't know half of what my camera is capable of. I think it's time I do some reading up myself.
