The Moment

(Li Hui)

Lately I've been appreciating photography that really captures a moment, that frames the essence and atmosphere of a split second, into an everlasting visual memory. It doesn't need to be detailed, or modified at all. To the contrary in fact. The less editing and attention to detail, the better for me personally. I appreciate the moment. Not the idea of what you would like the "moment" to be.

Which is why I have taken such a fancy to Li Hui's work, make sure you check out his site and treat your visual senses this weekend to his beautiful work.

  3. I totally agree, your ideas about photography are exactly the same as mine! Especially the thing about 'capture the moment like it is, not how you wanted it to be'...

Pretty images are the best when 'raw'.

    Enjoy your weekend!

  4. Good reminder of appreciating things with the beauty of how they already are instead of always wishing things were different. I love your blog.
