Take a closer look.

(credit)

Excuse me for the contemplative post today, but I watched Inception last night and now I am filled with so many questions :)

It really got me thinking about reality and what you hold on to and what is real. Would you think 'reality' is a place we need to constantly surround ourselves in? I mean, I have some rather big dreams I want to accomplish one day, and truth be told, they won't be accomplished in 'reality'. Is it best to make your 'reality' a place where all dreams are possible? You need to go somewhere further where there are no limitations to your dreams and then turn them into reality. I am just starting today to take a closer look at things in and surrounding my life which make up my reality.

I don't even know if this makes sense, but I hope I got you thinking, because I have so many thoughts buzzing through my mind right now! :)

But on a lighter note, make sure you take a looksie at Daydream Lily today. I am filling in for Liss with a guest post and hope to inspire you lovelies.

  1. I'm so glad that you watched Inception. It made me think so much about reality and whether we would rather live in an idyllic dream world with its imperfect perfection or the real world with its perfect imperfection.

And who knows? Maybe you can accomplish your big dreams in this reality. Maybe in a sense we are always creating and recreating our own new realities every single day that we live instead of simply existing in the reality that is set out for us. I personally like that concept.

  2. I haven't seen this film yet but I want to see it so bad!

I think about things like this all the time though. Like what is reality, are we really real ect sorry if I've made it worse with that one!

I think that reality is what you make of it. It's the experiences that you have with your surroundings and how you perceive them :)

I like what lovedfromthestart said too: Maybe in a sense we are always creating and recreating our own new realities every single day! =)

    Awesome post!

  5. I just watched Inception two times and for me it really opened my eyes to see things differently-and for Christopher Nolan to have that power over us that even when we leave the cinema afterwards, and we're still thinking about it =a masterpiece of a film.
