This is definitely my motto for the day:
One day at a time.Sometimes I have to remind myself of this, otherwise I try to fit forty-eight hours into one day. I've tried to take a few steps back and make sure I still get some time just to relax, so tonight I'm snuggling under the warm blankets, putting on a DVD and spending some good quality time with our family :)

sounds amazing!!! we've got to appreciate the down time while we still have it! Monday is my last day of downtime, so i'm doing a MASSIVE grocery shop and running as many errands as i can before enjoying a bit of relaxation on the couch.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a wonderful evening ahead of you.
ReplyDeleteThe photographs are pretty wonderful too, they really capture some of the essence of summer.
Those are so pretty photos
ReplyDeleteI think that's a terrific motto, and I need to remind myself of this too.

Your blog is divine! Every, single photo makes me have butterflies :) Love it! I know what you mean about trying to fit 48 hours into one day...I catch myself always running, running, running, and then another day is over and, normally, I have little to show for all that rushing!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to enjoy every moment of the week-end and see if I can make it last 48 hours, too :) I'll save 24 hour days for the work week!
Oh, so true. It's also easier to value life if you take it one day at a time, and it gives you more space to notice those little moments that make a day so beautiful.
